The owner of a small barbershop, Meili, went back from home to Beijing after Spring Festival, planning on starting some new small business, in the meantime, her dream of adopting a daughter is going smoothly with the adoption procedure, it seems like her new life is going to start. Unexpectedly, Meili’s ex-husband, who just got out from prison, shows up and starts to hassle. Every midnight, all kinds of strange men burst in Meili’s newly opened barbershop, looking for prostitute. Both Meili and Xiadan, a pretty young labourer in Meili’s shop, are quite annoyed. All this is breaking Meili’s precious dream......an incident however, gets Meili’s mediocre life totally off track.
